Loretta, 1996
Motorized antique hoop skirt, plastic gold ball and chain, velvet pillows, glass jars, bullfrogs, vintage mirror, acrylic paint, 144" x 66" dia

Upon an invitation to develop a women's collaborative project – with artists Dawn Clements, Michele Iversen and Jude Lewis –  we realized and integrated a mix of autobiographical and fictional "obsessive characters" for an exhibition titled, Four Lives to Live. My alter ego Loretta, highly skeptical, yet consumed with the notion of romantic love; twirled in her motorized hoop skirt above a circle of frog specimens reaching hopefully upward.
